Overview

Kuari Pass is situated in Garhwal Himalayas. used extensively by the local shepherds, exploring this route is one of the richest manners to get a full view of the splendid Himalayas. Their imposing and scenic presence can be witnessed from atop Kuari, which literally means “a getaway”. The trek to Thatling Glacier via Panwali grasslands, and then crossing over to Kedarnath, is an experience not likely to ever diminish in one's mind. The trail takes you through spectacular landscapes dense virgin forests high undulating flower covered grasslands, offering you panoramic view of giant peaks remote mountain villages and many idyllic locations with streams and waterfalls ! At an altitude of 4264 meters, Kuari Top is like an amphitheatre where some of the stalwart peaks of Himalayas take stage. The 7000 meters club includes the Kamet (7756m),Trishul (7120m), Chaukhamba (7128m), and the great divine peak of Nanda Devi (7817m) and its twin Nanda Devi East (7434m). More peaks make an equally imposing appearance – Nanda Ghunti, Hathi Ghoda Parbat, Neelkanth, Dronagiri, Mukut Parbat, Mana, Rishi Pahad, and Changbang, to name a few. The Kuari Pass trek gives you a chance to view this impressive skyline of these mighty mountains from close quarters. On this trek you will also visit Auli, which is famous for its beautiful skiing slopes in the winter kuari pass. Itinerary

Day 01 : Rishikesh- Joshimath/dhak

Time: 10 hours approx

Medium: 256 Drive

All the trekkers will take state transport (Bus or car) to reach the Joshimath. After reaching the Joshimath, you can rest for a while to leave for the next destination. While travelling to the Joshimath, trekkers will experience some of the best views. You can buy trekking gear and enjoy white river rafting in Rishikesh. Alaknanda and Bhagirathi river is enhancing the beauty of the destination amid the devprayag and Rishikesh. Before reaching the Joshimath, there would be so many long shivering rivers such as Mandakini and Alaknanda.


Day 02 : Joshimath/dhak- Gulling Top

Time: 4 hours approx

Medium: 12kms drive; 6km Trek

Altitude: 9600ft

This trek is full of gradual ascents and mixture of steeps making its way through hamlets. You will be seeing so many water-falls during the trail. You can pack some eating stuff or if you hired a trekking guide, then they would offer you a meal. Gori Parvat, Hathi parvat and Dronagiri parvat are some of the beautiful views you will witness while travelling.


Day 03 :Gulling Top -tali Forest Camp

Time: 5 hours approx

Medium: 4km trek

Altitude: 11070ft

Trek to the top of the forest hut (first and last water point) which is almost 1km. From forest hut to tali top forest camp, it will take 3 km to reach the second destination. While trekking you will get to witness some of the scenic views of forests, and mountains embedded with walnut, rhododendron and oak trees.


Day 04 : Tali Forest Camp -kuari Pass and Back via Khulara Top

Time: 11 hours approx

Medium: 15km trek

Altitude: 12,763 ft

Through this trek, broken bridge to kauri pass would be your biggest challenge which is full of excitement and adventure. Thrill lovers would definitely love this trail. You need to trek approx. 1.5km to 12763 altitudes. Make sure that you have enough water in your bag and snacks if needed. Some peaks you will witness there are: Nanda Ghunti, Nanda Devi, Chang Bang, Kalanka, Dronagiri, Hathi Parvat, Ghori Parvat, Mana I, Abhi Gamin, Kamet, Mukut Parvat, Neel Kantha, Balakun, Chaukhambha, Kedardome, and Kedarnath peak.


Day 05 : Tali Forest Camp -joshimath via Gorson and Auli

Time: 7 hours approx

Medium: 8km trek

It’s time to return after admiring the destination to the fullest. You need to cover approx. 8km to reach Auli through trekking. Then, any local bus or car would take you to Joshimath by covering 13km. You can have breakfast at the site and enjoy the destination.


Day 06 : Joshimath to Rishikesh

Time: 10 hours approx

Medium: 256km drive

Final and last day on the high peaks of mountains. The bus or car will take you back to Haridwar from where you can move forward towards your home.

How to Reach

At first, you have to arrive at Rishikesh, after that THC crew will deal with your further itinerary.
1. Take Cab/Bus/Train to reach Rishikesh
2.We generally suggest going for the govt. Transports over the private ones outside the bus stop as founded on the experience we have observed that there are exceptionally high possibilities of delay to reach destination and charges are a bit high . Likewise, govt. Transports are more trustworthy. Whichever transport you take, simply try to arrive at Rishikesh to at least by 05:30 am
first you need to arrive at Rishikesh, after that THC will deal with your further itinerary.
3. Take flight to Dehradun air terminal (Jolly Grant Airport) and drive to Rishikesh (20 km, 30 min), In case you are coming by flight, come one day ahead of schedule.
Drop
After morning tea move further to Rishikesh (breakfast and lunch on the way) Reach Rishikesh by 6:30 pm Drop off point is Roadways Bus station Plan your further travel after 7:00 pm.

Cancellation and refund policy

Cancelling a trek/tour in himalayas is like a real pain when you have been planning of it since a long time. So to make it more convenient for the trekkers we introduce easy cancellation policy. This Policy is effective only as per your booking date.


1. If you are cancelling your trek prior 15 days from your trek date, then we provide you with the FULL REFUND.


2. If you are cancelling your trek within 15 days from your trek date, then there will be NO REFUND.


3. If you want to change the date of your trek, then it should only be done before 20 days from your trek date.


4. THC holds the right to change/cancel the policies, without prior notice.


5. If we cancel/postpone our trek on the day of departure due to uncertain natural calamity or circumstances I( landslide, heavy rain ) in that case your total amount that you paid prior would be refunded within 3 working days.

Trek

The excursion of the Trek begins from Joshimath. You should ride till 6000 feet from the area to Auli.
